AGNIK ANNOUNCES BITS---BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE FROM TELEMATICS---LARGE-SCALE
CLOUD-BASED DATA MINING FOR TELEMATICS SERVICE PROVIDERS
Columbia, MD, January 9, 2013
Agnik is pleased to announce the arrival of
Agnik-BITS, a cloud-based high performance distributed data
mining system for
extracting business intelligence from telematics data. It is
designed for Car
Manufacturers and other telematics service providers collecting
large volume of
data. Agnik-BITS is designed to support analysis of data from
both (1) the
in-vehicle telematics devices with the Agnik Onboard Software
and (2) other
third party devices that send data to the server on their own.
The BITS-system
extracts performance patterns from data, builds predictive
models from various
types of telematics data, and correlates those with the business
process using
state of the art link analysis techniques. In short, BITS opens
up new revenue
streams from vehicle-telematics data by combining this with
various non-telematics
data.
Agnik-BITS allows performing wide range of analytics on location and vehicle performance data in conjunction with vehicle context data such as financial information and historical records, among others. Examples include (1) trend analysis of performance data from vehicle sub-systems over time, (2) multi-variate modeling of diagnostic data, (3) detecting frequent patterns of failures, (4) comparative analysis of vehicles, (5) benchmarking, (6) predictive failures and (7) varieties of geo-spatial patterns from location data.
"If you are bringing in a lot of vehicle/driver location and
performance data, but are wondering what else you can do with
the data then
Agnik-BITS may be of interest to you",
said
Dr. Hillol Kargupta, President of Agnik. "Using
the
open analytics architecture of BITS,and OEMs can now easily
extract data
patterns from location and vehicle performance data in order to
create
additional revenue streams".
Agnik-BITS is easy to use. Using a simple three step process one
can empower an application with the rich collection of BITS
analytics. Here is
how you can use Agnik-BITS:
